Campus Crime Alert

Pizza delivery man robbed

Crime Alerts are issued by the UMBC Police to alert the campus community of incidents on Campus.

 

Incident:             Armed robbery (knife)

Location:            Front of Potomac Hall

Date/time:          July 9th at 10:00p.m.

On July 9th at approximately 10:00p.m. the unaffiliated victim was delivering food to an individual in Potomac Hall.  When he exited his vehicle he observed a large group of males exiting a silver colored Honda Civic and a light colored minivan.  The group approached the victim and demanded he hand over the food he was carrying.  One of the males in the group displayed a box cutter type of knife.  The victim handed over the food and the group fled the area in the two vehicles.  The victim was not injured.  He returned to his place of business off Campus and the police were called. 

The suspects are described as white and black males between the ages of 16 and 19, nothing further.  Individuals with any information about this incident please call the UMBC Police at 410-455-5555.
