Campus Crime Alert/Armed Robbery

Crime Alerts are issued by the UMBC Police to alert the campus community of incidents on or near Campus.

Incident: Armed robbery (handgun)

Location: Back Road near basketball courts

Date/time: September 24th at 9p.m.

On September 24th at approximately 10p.m. the student victim reported that an hour earlier he had agreed to meet with the suspect for a pre-determined transaction to sell shoes. During this transaction the suspect produced a handgun, threatened the victim and stole his property. The suspect is described as a black male, early 20’s, wearing a light gray hoodie, dark pants, and bright blue tennis shoes. He was seen leaving the scene in a silver Honda.
