Security Alerts are issued by the UMBC Police to alert the campus community of incidents on or near Campus.

 

Incident:             Suspicious Activity

Location:            Tunnel Between Commons Garage and Stadium Complex

Date/time:          October 3rd, 2018 12:38 pm

On October 3rd, 2018 at 12:38 pm a female student came to campus by bus where she met a non-student described as a 21 year old black male. He is also described as 5'4 or 5'5 in height with a stocky build. They got off the bus and while walking through the tunnel between Commons Garage and the Stadium Complex he made a non-verbal proposition for a sexual act by motioning toward his groin and unzipping his fly. The female student declined and he walked away. 

Individuals with any information about this incident please call the UMBC Police at 410-455-5555.
